A Lads Holiday Special.
Lloret de Mar, Spain. Five days of scorching hot sun, chilling with my comrades of seven years and having a never ending supply of alcohol, definitely a mixture for a messy few days.
We got in at approximately 2am, dumped the bags into the hotel rooms and immediately hit the strip, no time to waste there was alcohol that had to be consumed. We were in high spirit and were extremely optimistic about what Lloret had to offer. We first encountered a bar, Rockafellas, which would be our rendezvous for each night and we also met a man who will go down in history, Otis... an absolute legend. From that night onwards we vowed to have a shisha every single time we ventured out, but we tended to leer away from including vodka anymore, as it, let's just say played with our heads quite a bit. The first night was immense, we didn't get back from the club until 6am and the majority of us were still buzzing!
Anyway, swiftly moving on, we then enjoyed the majority of our days relaxing by the pool, which for the price of our holiday was highly impressive. Whilst chilling by the pool one couldn't help but notice the tremendous specimens on exhibit... I think you can understand the connotation behind that statement. Unfortunately, the language barrier did hinder our plans for the holiday somewhat but nevertheless, we still had an incredible experience.
At the midpoint of our experience, it was time for a beach day. A lot of anticipation had built up for this day and it didn't disappoint. The weather was immaculate, the sea was glistening and we had beverages in our hands even though they were as warm as the sun itself. Regardless, it was a great day of unwinding with people who have embedded themselves as my second family over the years. As the holiday drew to a close, we epitomised it by all finishing our holiday where it began, at Rockafellas. The amount of Tequila we had drank over the 5 days could annihilate someone's liver 100 times over. The coach journey back will go down as one of my most memorable journeys ever due to the chants of the stereotypical Brit aboard- Connor Davis, big props to you.
This holiday will definitely stay with me for the rest of my days as it concluded a great 7 years we had all spent together and I truly hope that we will all stay in contact with each other as they are all my brothers. All I can say now to end this is one thing we all abide by... Stay Lit!
